This week Hulu has made available RiP! A Remix Manifesto , Brett Gaylor's SXSW lauded documentary on remix culture's past and future. Tethering his narrative (and argument for open source culture) to the work of Girl Talk, Gaylor explores some interesting and maddening loopholes in current copyright law, and all in all makes a compelling case against outmoded attitudes towards fair use, my distaste for "manifestos" not withstanding.
