Sandbox Astronomy are a bit of a throwback, in the sense that their songs are loaded with classic pop tricks: catchy melodies, jangly guitars, soft harmonies. Just look at a track like the helplessly lovable "Lost Languages", which you just want to cuddle with on a comfy, colourful couch somewhere. They remind me of Ola Podrida, straight from the way they play their instruments to the vocals to the lyrical tendencies. Which is an excellent thing. I adore Ola Podrida.
