Sobran referentes para empezar a hablar de A Strange Arrangement , el debut del californiano Mayer Hawthorne: Curtis Mayfield, The Stylistics, The Four Tops, Solomon Burke y Marvin Gaye. ¿Qué diferencia Hawthorne de ellos? 50 años y nada más. Pero esto, en vez de ser una desventaja, el racconto estilístico del trabajo de Hawthorne, suma por montones.
