Last Tide is a Washington DC-based band consisting of Nate Frey on guitars/vox, Rob Miller on bass, Libby Dorot on synth/vox and Misha Alexander on drums/vox. The band is heavily influenced by the shoegaze and slowcore scenes, but also draws from punk, experimental music and post-rock, among other sources. Their music is distinguished by a focus on strong melodies and carefully considered arrangements. Their debut EP, recorded at Studio 1654 with Edie Sedgwick (Dischord Records) is released in October and will be available on CD, as well as digitally through Amazon MP3 and iTunes. [...]
