Blog: Songs in Space

This one has a lot of background behind it. From what I've gathered, frontman and founder Chris Larsen started the band as a way to reach out to his girlfriend (now band mate co-vocalist Melanie Glover) while she was abroad. Larsen created Buildings Breeding as a "fake" band which included its very own MySpace page. Essentially, a way for Larsen to keep in touch with Glover. Make believe or not, the "bands" music drew attention from Glover and many others. To take it even further on the absurd side, as a joke, Larsen sent his songs out to Mushpot Records [...]
