[MP3s] The Love Story, New Radiant Storm King, The Daylight Titans, Iran, The Handcuffs Following up on their 2007's S/T release (recorded by famed Steve Albini), The Love Story return for 2009 with Mink . TLS, in my opinion, are somewhat hard to nail down. Mainly classified as slow-core/mood-core, the NYC band throws in touches of Shoegaze to further complement their music. While Albini is no longer at the helm for Mink , the band has not lost his influence to their song-craft. The whole LP plays in thirty minutes and is full of mesmerizing guitar parts, sparse but effective drumming, all complemented by singer Molly Donahue's lush vocals. The [...]
