
Most bands lose the plot - it's bound to happen in a long career. When I listen to Matt Pond PA's later material, it's apparent that they've gone off course, but that's fine. Like baseball players, you can't rely on the same methods day-in and day-out - you need to constantly reinvent yourself, and up until '04, MPPA did just that.
