David Bazan's new album, Curse Your Branches , is awesome. Quick background: Bazan was raised an Evangelical Christian, and made great music with the Christian indie-rock band Pedro the Lion for years. Then, married and 30 years old, he had a sort of existential crisis, and went from Evangelical Christian to Atheist in the matter of a year. After a long battle with alcoholism, he's back in full force, starting up his solo career. Curse Your Branches has been accurately described as a break-up album from God. It's highly recommended.
