On her recent tour, Karen Dreijer, aka Fever Ray, has been selling a 7-inch that features her covering Vashti Bunyan's "Here Before," but more interestingly, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds' "Stranger Than Kindness," a song that is as moody and dark as a regular Fever Ray track. Somewhat predictably, Fever Ray made the song even darker, relying on pitch-manipulated vocals and a rolling drum beat. Above is Fever Ray's take, and below is the original. [ Stereogum ]
