Hardcore Slowdive fans will probably scoff at this demo of "Silver Screen", simply because it's been floating around the web for years. It comes from a batch of internet-ready demos and outtakes of songs that were recorded between the Just For a Day and Souvlaki sessions, intended to appear on the latter release. But this track in particular sounds so perfect, so album-ready and catchy. It boggles my mind why it wasn't ever released as a 7" or radio single. Get the rest of the demos/unreleased gems [...]
