He has some heavyweights in his corner (read: Pete Yorn), but the singer-songwriter bewilderingly known as WAZ simply fails to pack a punch. Perhaps future albums will justify the hype, but These Bright Lights , with its vapid lyrics and store-bought emotions, is most notable for its sheer lack of profundity.
