Not only is today Halloween, but it's also National Magic Day in honor of Harry Houdini, the world's greatest escape artist, who died on this day in 1926. Kristin Hersh - Houdini Blues Some say Houdini's first great escape was as a tiny sperm, when he broke-out of his father's condom. His second great escape was from his mother's womb. Houdini has yet to accomplish his greatest feat however, that being an escape from his coffin.
