The Juan MacLean [History+Highlights] Juan Maclean , frontman to his contemporary self titled project was initially part of the dance-punk group Six Finger Satellite that emerged in 1990. The Providence, Rhode Island band captured a significant following and are still recognized today for their prophetic fusion of electronic and post-punk music. It disbanded in 2001 after lasting 11 years. During their run, James Murphy, an impressive and established sound engineer signed onto the project to assist SFS in sound management while on tour.
