Austin's the Strange Boys, who put out the solid ...and Girls Club album earlier this year, are returning early in 2010 with a new record. "Be Brave" is the first sweaty, pleading sound from that new set of songs. These guys may tap into the same sort of punk-gutter-blues thing that the Black Lips have made their name on, but the Strange Boys build their own home in a sound much more firmly planted in R&B and soul traditions.
