Four Tet's original "Love Cry" is a pretty strong showing, but Joy Orbison's take on the track is just as strong, while giving a distinctively different flavor to the Four Tet track's jazzy, squirrely ambience. Joy Orbison manages to keep "Love Cry"s wistful feel, but his slice of downtempo techno is urban in a way that the original isn't, like the soundtrack for watching concrete and steel tear through the earth on their way to the sky.
