Question: Who says women can rock without sucking? Answer: People who listen to Sleater-Kinney. Wrong. Women who rock almost always suck. Yes, even Sleater-Kinney sucks. The Raincoats, on the other hand, never sucked. Their eponymous debut album from 1979 is heralded as highly as a post-punk album could be - the 1994 reissue on Rough Trade featured liner notes by Kurt Cobain.
