Ya gotta be at least as old as homercat to remember Mac Davis. He was a great singer songwriter who started out as a songwriter, with several of his early songs being recorded by Elvis. For example he wrote A Little Less Conversation in 1968 and Elvis promptly recorded it for one of his movies.
