Blog: The Shimm

Hot Chip have a penchant for 80's synth rock, Yo La Tengo, techno-y beats and melodic vocals. Over the course of three albums, this band is maturing and improving. Listen to the vocals at the end of "Take It In." Maybe it's slightly nasal, but i'm impressed w/ what they're bringing to the table on One Life Stand. Questionable album name, but this album is full of enjoyable moments.
