Best described as a transitional album, Beach House's 2008 effort, Devotion , makes good on the promise displayed in 2006's Beach House , namely by way of the dreamy compositions and Victoria Legrand's compelling voice, but most of all in cleaning up the rough edges that made their debut an interesting, if unpolished product.
