
Emma Pollock first gained attention as singer/guitarist for adventurous Scottish indie-poppers the Delgados, but after the band parted ways, she pursued the inevitable solo career. On her second solo outing, The Law of Large Numbers , she seems to have little concern about following in the footsteps of her old critically-beloved band; she forges boldly ahead with her own aesthetic agenda, making up new rules as she goes along.
