My favorite aspect about running this blog (besides sharing great music with all you random folks) occurs when I start researching a new artist after hearing a song or two, and finding a collection of great, largely unheard work. So happened this past weekend with Lushlife. Raj Halda is Lushlife; He is also an MC, producer, remixer, and classically trained pianist and Jazz drummer. His voice sounds like Nas, and his sample-heavy beats sound like the work of Dilla himself. Either way you would never guess he is an Indian kid from Philly. [...]
