In 2002, emo was the hottest thing for kids since snap-on bracelets. Angsty teenagers craving music flocked to find solace in bands like Taking Back Sunday, Brand New,My Chemical Romance, and Thursday. After all, this music was "theirs". Back then, these four bands from Long Island and New Jersey respectively, weren't the cult arena superstar rock bands that most know of today.
