I know some people that hate the contemporary music scene. And they have sound reasoning. Whether their argument hinges on everything being derivative of the past or technology corrupting all organic creation, you can't really dispute the tendency of all things toward chaos, I believe it's a law of thermodynamics or something. Yeah, entropy. I bet these people were watching bands like Sleep or 7 Seconds on Saturday at Los Angeles' FYF Fest and thinking that music would never get back to the raw intensity that those bands provided.
