Mark Mallman announced today that beginning October 7, he will perform non-stop for 78 hours at the Turf Club in St. Paul, Minnesota. This performance, dubbed Marathon 3, will outlast two similar previous performances by Mallman; in 1999 he played for 26 hours and in 2004 he lasted for 52 hours. Mallman has enlisted close to 100 musicians to back him as he sings his way through more than 400 pages of lyrics over the course of four days.
