This is so reminiscent of ‘Betty Clean’, the song that opened side B on Whipping Boy’s incredible debut. Of course ‘Take Me Home’ has been drained of the vitriol that so propelled that record and in the hands of retro romantics Sweet Jane you’d hardly expect anything else. The song is an early demo that didn’t make the cut for their first LP ‘Sugar For My Soul’ released on Irish label Reekus Music.
