Philadelphia’s Sun Airway – duo Jon Barthmus and Patrick Marsceill – recorded ‘Nocture of Exploded Crystal Chandelier’ in Barthmus’s basement over the course of a year and a half. Awash with waves of synth, pulsating beats and pop hooks, the pair’s oceanic electronic sound is easy on the ear, producing lush soundscapes that are not dissimilar to, say, Mercury Rev, but claim some fresh territory of their own too.
