I have to admit James Apollo had passed me by until this week, kind of feel I have missed out!! Having released his UK debut last summer 'Til Your feet Bleed , the follow up is a compilation of songs from his stateside releases spanning the last five years. Right now, there seems to be a real resurgence in this form of easy-listening Americana, which is fine by me when it's delivered as good as this. With a late night bar, one for the road undercurrent to his music, comparisons with the likes of Tom Waits spring to mind. [...]
