For me, Lil Wayne has been very hit and miss. His musical backing is often scarce, but yet to me, many of them are some of the most infectiously iconic of the last decade (think Lollipop). His rapping style is utterly unique in its spoken, almost creaky, intonations but he can also bust out something aggressive too (just as long as he's not busting out the autotune, which he's doing horribly far too often). But he's still got a hell of a lot of good songs, and as you'll see, his influence is undeniable. Covers [...]
