Ezra Koenig, the Columbia graduate / English major at the helm of Vampire Weekend ( the film as well as the band), recently donated a track to the soundtrack of the 2010 film Ceremony starring Uma Thurman. Fittingly, due to the nature of his band's rather obvious influences and stylistic cues, the song was a cover of Paul Simon's "Papa Hobo", originally released on Simon's 1972 self-titled debut LP (his first solo record sans Garfunkel, with whom he split two years prior).
