So I guess in between Ezra Koenig writing new material for Vampire Weekend's third album, touring, and partying with hipsters he records solo songs for soundtracks. Always the lover of the 19702s pop, Koenig covered Paul Simon's Papa Hobo for the upcoming film Ceremony ( TRAILER ). The indie darling nails this cover with airy, bare bones vocals and perfect guitar plucking. Fleetwood Mac and The Boss have previously covered Papa Hobo, two artists that Ezra seems to be very fond of, but I think this is the best of the bunch.
