Clay Ruby's a member of one of our 18 Dark Bands To Watch Horrid Red, but he's probably better known for his equally dark one-man project, Burial Hex. On this version of "The Far," Ruby handles keys, electronics, and some voice and gets a helping hand from Horrid Red cohort Edmund Xavier (guitar, additional keys) and, probably more noticeably, blustery vocals from Zola Jesus. It's a radio edit of a 20-minute track due out on a 123 by Italian label Holiday Records - goes without saying it should star at your goth dance party this (or any) weekend. [...]
