The Weeknd released an official video for "What You Want" from their debut album, House of Ballons . The video plays on the lyrics "He's what you want, I'm what you need," with a black female antagonist/protagonist (it's unclear). The perplexing aspect of the video is whether the "want" is a drug, a dependency or actually a woman. If it's the latter, there is some interesting gender and racial issues brought to the forefront. I'll leave at that, and let you decide, discuss your thoughts.
