The MTV Video Music Award nominations were announced last night by everybody's favorite planking mermaid, Katy Perry, who scored big by being nominated nine times for four different videos — "E.T.," "Firework," "Last Friday Night," and "Teenage Dream" (the last of which was nominated for Best Cinematography).
