
It's easy to become addicted to the synthesizer - I remember getting hooked as early as age 7. The problem tends to be, because of the instrument's ease of use (press key), and the one's generally self-inflated sense of talent, we end up flooding the independent market with over-produced dubstep / drum-and-bass messes. (I'd guess that the number of unmemorable, shitty dubstep "remixes" on SoundCloud alone number in the tens of thousands.)
