Blog: i guess i'm floating

I'm going to Dublin in October for (what I think) is Ireland's version of SXSW, so when this track by Irish artist Jape appeared in my inbox last week I had to spin it. I don't know much about the band other than it's the side project of musician Richie Egan and they've been around since 2003, oh.. and they sound awesome: "The Oldest Mind" drifts along with haunting vocals and well placed guitar riffs, so soft and delicate in their placement this would be more of slipper-gaze than shoegaze.
