John Roderick of The Long Winters at the Showbox, October 20, part of City Arts Fest 2011 My recap and photos from my limp around City Arts Fest 2011 are up over at Bumpershine right now . Highlight was easily the set from The Long Winters. Having John Roderick backed by high school students (Seattle's School of Rock) might be the best indie rock idea since the 4-track. Other performances captured include Pickwick, Campfire OK, Cobirds Unite and a transcendent set from Sons of Warren Oates.
