Megan Remy emerges from the distorted swamp she's been lurking in to produce her new record, US Girls on KRAAK . While this new heat adheres to the same minimalistic approach to instrumentation and structure as her previous releases, this time around US Girls pulses with pop blood – albeit suitably mutated – and a thrilling use of dynamics. The self-effacing fuzz and crackle have been toned down with much more emphasis placed on Remy's amazing voice, which in another decade would have definitely been creeped over by Phil Spector.
