If you're already a fan of Phil Elvrum, your day is about to have been made; if you haven't listened to The Microphones or Mount Eerie before the result is probably still going to be about the same. Elvrum's longtime label K Records released this new Eerie song Distorted Cymbals today through their tumblr  and boy, oh boy. It's got that familiar crunch and Phil's warmly dejected words projected over hammering drums; everything we want.
