
For all their love of grimy funk and skittering beats, I never thought I'd hear deadCAT sound this dreamy and chill, but the duo's latest single — appropriately titled "tanlines" — is just that. Led by wistful synths and stuttering percussion, the song seems destined to drown in a sea of haze and sun-baked nostalgia, but there's enough bite in Britt Teusink's diffuse vocals to keep it from becoming too laid-back and listless.
