1001 Iterations of Daryl Hall & John Oates’ “I Can’t Go For That”
For better or for worse, I recall Hall & Oates as one of the most quintessentially 80s bands out there. They had everything of that decade's excesses going for them: copious amounts of synth and keyboard flourishes, percussion that could have come out of a drum machine, grainy, cheesy music videos... and, of course, the undisputed magnificence of John Oates' mustache. My opinion of their repertoire ranges from great respect ("Rich Girl" was my favorite.
