Gold Panda has, since his debut Lucky Shiner , occupied a unique place between dance music and Dilla-esque hip-hop. In the few glimpses at his newer production since that breakout project his work has seemed far more reserved and techno-influenced. "Thailand Chord Droner" certainly follows that trend, content to go through the track with minimal change or transition and looking for beauty in delicate synth loops and dramatic shifting drum patterns.
