We’ve got some psyched-out rock from the 60s, some Stax and some Sly, and strangely, a fit of Richard Hell to break it up. Bad Weather California’s debut (released on Akron/Family’s own Family Tree label), is a good time record left in the sun – it sits on the beach and chills at the after-party with the stoners and empty cans. The west coast four-piece know their history books – this record references the good stuff.
