Jazz/folk singer/songwriter Melody Gardot will return next month with her long-awaited and aptly titled new album The Absence which will see daylight on May 29th. The album is a follow up to her critically acclaimed 'My One and Only Thrill'  and according to her it was written by Gardot during her worldwide travels and will reflect the flavors of various countries and their cultures including "the deserts of Morocco, the streets of Lisbon, from the tango bars of Buenos Aires to the beaches of Brazil."
