DAVE OLSON-No October
Minnesota's Dave Olson returns with his first album in over a decade. And the time has apparently been spent learning his craft. "No October" is a strong collection of singer/songwriter indie folk with a faint trace of Americana influence. Strong, heartfelt lyrics, solid guitar work, and perfect vocals. These are definitely moody, introspective songs. Not a pop hit in the bunch. There's nothing wrong with that, of course-just don't come looking for an upbeat time.
