Sure, Cassie’s “King of Hearts” is a straight-up banger, but one listen to Richard X’s recent remix and the original feels like it has something missing. You can tell a remix has succeeded when it can stand up to the original, but Richard X’s maximalistic take––even sexier throbbing bass, sharp reggaeton snares, droning, hazy synths––amps the track’s already-irresistible club power up to eleven.
