rita ora feat tinie tempah - r.i.p. [it's definitely interesting to see the progression of how far the definition of a 'popular music' goes these days. case in point, rita ora's current smash has elements of dubstep, hip hop swagger, a sweet sample from nneka's 2009 anthem " heartbeat " and the poppiest vocal hook i've heard in awhile (thanks to rapper drake no less). weirdly, the mash up works wonders and offers rita a possible #1 this weekend on the UK charts. edgy pop lab experiment = success!] [...]
