Lupe Fiasco just recently released his first single off of his new album Food and Liquor 2 . It hadn't been out for a whole day and it was met with controversy. The song "Around My Way (Freedom Ain't Free)" features a sample from the song "They Reminisce Over You" (TROY) by Pete Rock and CL Smooth . Apparently Pete Rock was upset about him using that sample, even though he got permission to use it. Personally I don't care if Pete Rock is upset, he sampled the sax part from Tom Scott [...]
