The National have contributed a song to the soundtrack for HBO's Game of Thrones , a series that I loved so much I had to buy all the books and skip ahead by five or six seasons. The National's rendition of in-story song "The Rains of Castamere", titled "Castamere" for The National's version, will play a particularly dramatic part in season 3 or season 4, depending on how the show writer's split up the third novel in the book series.
