The National have snuck up as one of favorite bands making music. Much of their material does require a few listens to grow on you, but once they got you, it's all fucking great. They've contributed a song entitled "The Rains Of Castamere" to the soundtrack for season two of the HBO hit series Game Of Thrones . It's dark. It's epic. It's what you expect from The National.
