The folks at Red Hot have done it again, this time uniting forces with (RED) to bring us an explosive cover of Fela Kuti ’s “Lady” featuring tUnE-yArDs , ?uestlove , Angelique Kidjo , Akua Naru , and members of RubbleBucket and Antibalas .  The cover turns the original (pretty sexist) message of Lady on its head, with lyrics re-thought by Merrill Garbus, the woman behind tUnE-yArDs, and Akua Naru, an acclaimed female hip-hop artist.  The track itself is vibrant with both the original afrobeat energy characteristic of Fela Kuti [...]
